here goes day 2 of the semi-daily blog. Another good day so far with the girlies. Rosie was awake and happy for most of the morning. Clare wanted to play tunnel again so Rosie came in with us. Clare was a little distractoid and it didn't last very long. We went to the "bike store" aka the thrift, where we always go. I like it because Clare knows it well and has a little routine of her own there. She's great, loves to look at shoes and the toy section. Clare also told me this morning that her mouth hurt, not in so many words. She said, "mouth, mouth" while fussing during a diaper change. I took a look and all four canines appear to be erupting at once. Surprisingly, she wasn't all that grumpy about it. At the moment she's napping peacefully, as is Rosie. Can't say the same for the dogs, who are outside accosting every neighbor, pedestrian, cyclist, vehicle, and otherwise that passes by. Back to the bike store.... Clare found a really cool and old Ernie from Sesame Street that's in great shape. She already loves it. Lately Clare really likes to put on a set of banjo finger picks and pick on the banjo. Sometimes she'll get out her little tikes banjo and we'll "play together". Usually short lived, but it gives me an excuse to hack around a little bit. I'm currently working on Bela Fleck's Whitewater, which I think is pretty hard. Rose is a little bit spitty today. I haven't found any real pattern. Some days better than others. She seems pretty ok now. She did throw up all over Kate at the noontime feeding, which I guess happens at almost every feeding. Less consistently with the bottle.
Interested to see how the whole canine situation manifests. I heard Clare up a bit last night before I went to bed. Wonder if she was feeling it a little. I thought the worst part was the coming through the gum part. The look to have already erupted. I expect more grumpy toddler time. These girlies are a lot of fun. Still ready for some warm temps so we can get outside, throw down a blanket somewhere and just roll around. Okay, I've run out of stuff to blather on about. Dave out.
