I'm back... can't believe how long it's been since I posted... about a year and a half. Anyway, here I am at work on Christmas Day with a 1:1 assignment. Had a fantastic xmas with the girls, Kate, and Marianne (bubba) yesterday. When asked, Clare couldn't really choose a favorite gift. She got most of her Santa list including a buzz lightyear, goofy, Holley Shiftwell, and Francesco Bernoulli remote control. She loves them all. She's been very gracious lately, lots of thank you for this and that. So sweet. Rosy seems to love her new doll which came with a bed, mess kit, and rocking horse that she can push around. She was also into Clare's stuff so not so much recognition of xmas, getting gifts, the idea of it all, etc., which is fine. Soon enough. Rosy is entering the crazy stage, some of it wanting to do everything herself, another part refusing everything however much she may like it or want it. She throws food/drink onto the floor, eats it/loves it one day, hates it the next. It's sort of cute except when she really could use the blood sugar boost, actually fueling (or quite the opposite in reality) tantrum. She is a complete and total doll though, cute as she can be.
Fun having Bubba in town. She keeps the energy level up, helps out a lot, doesn't mind disciplining the kids a little bit. There's a lot more talk in our house with her here. I like steering the conversation toward music. Marianne is versed and has been paying attention for a long time.
maybe I'll get my momentum up here a little bit.
